I had to upgrade from iOS16 to iOS17 to use my new AirPod Pro (2nd gen).

No big difference except the default alert tone has changed. And there seems to be no way to change it. Both my son and I dislike the tone. Would like to switch it to another tone if possible. Anyone know a way? Or is this just a "Apple knows best" moment?

You should be able to change it in the settings. Settings> Sounds & Haptics > Calendar Alerts or Reminder Alerts >

That seems to be for reminders and calendars. This is the alert for everything else (sports alerts, etc). This has been changed and its obnoxious. Virtually any app that does a sound now makes a generic obnoxious sound (unless the app already did specific sound for itself).

You’re right not a lot of major changes going from iOS 16 to 17.

I’m with Jon it’s probably in the settings somewhere
