Slacker 5 on mobile devices

What a shocking surprise after I opened Slacker following a recent update. A black screen prompts me for "Stations" or "My Vibe"

Stations has what we always expect from Slacker. My Vibe is the same concept as Songza where the time of the day is represented and you select the type of playlist you're going for (i.e. Monday Morning / Singing In The Shower) and you get choices of a few Slacker stations that fit the bill.

I'm guessing either Songza didn't patent the idea or Slacker bought them.

I think you're right, it does seem like they borrowed the Songza concept.

I really like the new iOS7-influenced look of the app on the iPhone. Nicely done!

They've got a lot of cool stations I guess I never noticed before.

Like I said in another thread it has renewed my interest and use of Slacker! It now works great with my JVC head unit displaying album name, song, artist and album art.

I find Slacker's 'It's all about the people' blitz advertising even to plus subscribers to be a big turnoff.
