Not all that busted up about my Jayhawks being booted from the tourney, to be honest. Once coach went down with this heart issue, I figured a long run this season probably wasn't in the cards. And the team itself was more of a "really good" one instead of "great" to begin with.
Having said that, man last night was a rough watch - & not just because of the outcome. I'm not one to usually complain about officiating, & I'm not saying the calls were biased against KU last night. But GawDAMN...can we get thru 45 seconds of play without a ref blowing their whistle? That game took 2.5 friggin' hours to finish, & there wasn't even OT. Let 'em fuckin' play. Aside from that, I dunno who the 2 dudes were calling the game for CBS, but they were terrible. Just a pile of tired-assed cliches. And they kept seeing/calling things that didn't happen ( the one instance I remember was when one of them claimed the ball went out of bounds off a Jayhawk's thigh - & then the replay showed the ball didn't touch ANYONE'S thigh. And it wasn't even close to it. ). Just awful. You've got a game with a 1 seed, & that's the best you have on the mic?
That's the end of my bitching. Roll on, baseball season.
