Here is the reason for that "endless laughing." In 1969, while singing Are You Lonesome Tonight during a concerrt at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, Elvis changed a line. Instead of "Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?" he sang, "Do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair?" Then a man in the audience removed his toupee and Elvis started laughing and lost his composure. He's backed by the Sweet Inspirations here.

Rosie and the Originals - Angel Baby is my favorite song of the bunch.

John Lennon called it one his favorites also and covered it

At age 14, Rosalie "Rosie" Hamlin, inspired by her 16-year-old boyfriend Robert Foster calling her his "little baby," wrote a poem titled Angel Baby. At age 15, Rosie recorded the song with the Originals: guitarists David Ponci and Noah Tafolia, saxophonist Tony Gomez and drummer Carl Von Goodat. Angel Baby peaked at #5 on the January 23 1961 Billboard Hot 100. That same week it peaked at #6 on the Cash Box Top 100. Here is a live performance from 1999 – but why did she walk off before the band finished playing? How rude!

On August 13, 1959, when Brenda Lee was 14 years and eight months old, she recorded Sweet Nothin's at Bradley's Barn in Mt. Joliet/Nashville. The recording studio occupied a building that used to be a barn. The song begins with a man whispering and Brenda responding, "Uh-huh, honey. All right." The voice was Louis Nunley of the Anita Kerr Singers – and he was speaking gibberish, but many radio station program directors thought the intro was risqué so they played the song minus the intro. Sweet Nothin's peaked at #3 on the April 18 1960 Billboard Hot 100.

The Platters' Harbor Lights was a remake of a song written by Jimmy Kennedy (words) and Will Grosz (as "Hugh Williams," music) that was first recorded on January 29 1937 by Barry Gray & The Roy Fox Orchestra in London. Fox was born in Denver but lived in England from 1930 to 1938 and was very popular there. The U.K. did not begin publishing a weekly music chart until 1952 but Harbour Lights would likely have been a huge hit, possibly a number-one.

The song was a top-ten hit for both Frances Langford and Claude Thornhill in 1937. A version by the Sammy Kaye Orchestra with Tony Alamo & The Kaydets was number one for four weeks in November-December 1950. Six other versions made the charts in 1950: Guy Lombardo, Ray Anthony, Ralph Flanagan, Bing Crosby, Ken Griffin and Jerry Byrd & The Harmonicats. Here is the original version by Barry Gray & The Roy Fox Orchestra:

Here is Robbie Williams' version – and remember, "Fish are friends, not food." (Ignore the "Fish are food" sign at the fish market in Zootopia 2.)

Norma Tanega wrote and recorded Walkin' My Cat Named Dog. It became her first hit, peaking at #22 on the April 9 1966 Billboard Hot 100 and #25 on the Cash Box Top 100. Her follow-up single, A Street That Rhymes At 6 A.M., stalled at #129 on Billboard's Bubbling Under chart. Tanega released only two more singles, Bread and Run, On The Run. Neither charted.

Barry McGuire, best known for his 1965 number-one hit Eve Of Destruction, also recorded Walkin' My Cat Named Dog. It was released as a single a month after Tanega's original but failed to chart. Here is a version by They Might Be Giants from their album Why?, released on November 27 2015.

There is a lady in our neighborhood that walks her cat on a lease. Shocking. I hope they don't run into the two neighborhood Schnauzers. They scare all the other dogs even the bigger ones.
