Ever since Flash 10 was released many including myself have been having problems with the web player from not buffering, to playing partial songs to completely skipping songs, etc.
The problem stems from new 'security' features in flash 10 that are not in flash 9 according to adobe support. I downloaded flash 9 from the adobe website, uninstalled flash 10, installed flash 9 and the problems have disappeared. I posted this same info on the slacker web player forums.
