Metro Market (Kroger) has a magazine too. I like Metro Market. Good Tamales and produce. Very clean. I like the one next to the Capital View Farmers Market.
The magazine shows nice looking food with recipes. This month issue had an article on How To Make A Smashburger. Plus it will include coupons.

I think I talked about signing up for Costco somewhere around here but apparently not in this thread where it belongs. Anyway, it was $65 for the year. I figured if all I do is get gas there I will still pay off the membership.

I went today and got gas on my way out and it was $0.50 cheaper than the gas right by my place. I got 9 gallons so I saved $4.50. At that rate if I go 14 times it pays itself off.

Now I've got gas there a few times so far and it usually isn't this much cheaper than my local place but even still it's pretty cool.

They are supposed to average 30 cents cheaper than typical gas stations.

It's been right around that the other 2 or 3 times I've been there. That's why I thought today's price difference was worth a post. Haha.

But you burn away your savings waiting in line.

Oh yea, that's another thing about today, there was no line at all. Well there were people waiting in some of the rows but when I pulled up I was next in line and waiting for about 30 seconds for the person in front of me to finish before I realized the pump in front of her was open. ANd they have those long pumps so you can pull up on either side.

The station has 18 pumps and a handy little graphic board showing what pumps are open or in use but lots of people don't pay attention to them so when it's very busy there is usually an attendant there directing traffic.

Now the closest Costco to me is 7 miles away so I do waste some gas getting there and back.

Mrs. Scotch was in the area of the BJ's gas in Portsmouth on a day when the line was over a half-hour. She came back the next day and there was no line. But she was there anyway (or nearby) for food shopping. She puts that gas in, but I'm not a fan. She got my car filled a few weeks ago; it feels like I'm driving with the parking brake on. I get the same with any shit brand, like Irving and Cumbies.

I need Mobil, Sunoco, or other brands with the detergent in them (or whatever they use). The car is just more responsive. And since I hardly drive my car anymore, it's worth it.

Costco is also supposed to have Top Tier Gas too. It is also the closest to my home, lower price and, best of all, now since it is so busy the attendant is not likely to have time to spend talking to me while I am filling up
We will have a nearby Costco within the next year, so I'll be able to try it out.
