Ok so I got a used Slacker G2 and I have the drivers installed and firewalls off but it just stays on connecting, ive read that it takes kind of forever for the first station refresh and it says it hasnt been refreshed in 188 days, so should I just wait longer? It has been plugged in for about 5 hours now. I have read about resetting it, but I havent done it yet because Ive read that it should be done only as a last resort. Thanks :]

I had a very similar, if not the same, issue with my used G2.
Fortunately, I sent it back to the seller (eBay) who confirmed it was faulty and replaced my unit. I'm not sure where/how you purchased it, but it sounds faulty. On a side note, from what I read, G2s are sort of finicky like that.

You should be able to see the progress of the update on the screen. I only update via Wifi, the USB method is too problematic. I would suggest you do a live chat wiyh Slacker support.
