Redd's is a beer. A beer disguised as a cider for people who don't like beer but for some reason don't have access to cider. Why not just drink cider? There are a bunch of good ones on the market today.

Zima was a malt beverage. Same for Bacardi Silver flavored malt beverage. The set of malt beverages includes beer, but Zima and Bacardi Silver Raz are not beers.
