It’s by votes. People rank they’re top 25 with each slot given a point value.
Ones all the votes are counted, each team has their own point total.
It 48 people give Alabama a ranking of #1, two people give them 2nd place votes, and #1 = 25 points, 2nd = 24 points, then Alabama has a total of 1248 points with 48 first place votes.
If 48 people give Clemson a ranking of #1, two people give them 1st place votes, Clemson would have a total of 1202 points with 2 first place votes
That what I prefer, then visiting some random website and using there ranking order. The point value could be an alternative way of breaking ties since I had to go to part 2 of our tie-breaker format and that match up almost still ended in a tie.
But again would everybody be considered of doing that like how semi described it. It may be extra work, but I do like how that format works. Plus if your item doesn't get ranked properly I can't be blamed. I went by everybody ranking order.
